Coaching Community Connections

The coaching profession is all about people -- and at ICF Maryland, we love to spend time with one another! Our state may be small, but our communities are far-flung and unique. To enable our members to connect on a personal level and grow their networks, and to allow for the magic that can only result from in-person interaction, we organize several types of regular meet-ups.

You’re invited to attend an upcoming gathering in-person or online, to check out photos from past socials, and to become an ambassador who helps organize future get-togethers! Learn more below.

Local Socials

On the fourth Thursday of each month, ICF Maryland prioritizes connection and fun! Our Local Socials are a chance for chapter members to establish and deepen relationships with others who live nearby, to talk coaching in a casual setting, and to unwind and kick back in good company. These events occur in a different county each month. Members choose inviting spots in their local communities to gather, and ICF Maryland provides appetizers. We guarantee an environment conducive to fun, fellowship, and friendship!

Member Meetings

Each quarter, our chapter leadership carves out time to host an online Member Meeting, providing a forum for information sharing and interaction among all members. Register and log on to learn about volunteer opportunities, get informed about upcoming professional development workshops, hear news from the International Coaching Federation, and ask questions of board members and committee leaders.

New Member Orientation

We love new members! New Member Orientation meetings, held every other month, provide a space for newcomers to the ICF Maryland chapter to meet our community. Learn all about what our chapter has to offer as you embark on your professional coaching journey, and allow us to put a face with your name! Been around a while? We all need a refresher now and then — you’re welcome here, too!

Coaches Coffees

Whether it's coffee or tea, ICF Maryland’s Coaches Coffees bring local coaching professionals together in a welcoming space to spark meaningful conversations and explore important topics. Happening in-person and virtually, these gatherings offer a chance to connect, learn, and grow, with co-created discussions on topics such as business development, current trends, and professional growth. We'd love to have you join one of our groups, or check out our neighbor ICF Metro DC's Coaches Coffees, to meet, mingle, and expand your network. Don't see your local area listed and want to create a Coaches Coffee? Let us know so we can support you!

VISIT THE EVENT CALENDAR

“Each ICF Maryland event is like a group of old friends reuniting to catch up and empower one another to be great. The camaraderie, the networking, the training provided, and the mentorship are far beyond what I expected. If you're looking for a place to connect with other coaches who are passionate about their craft and represent the coaching profession at the highest level, come join our chapter!"

Join the Membership Committee

Volunteer with our Membership Committee! In this role, you’ll help add a personal touch to our ICF Maryland member experience, and ensure that our members’ credentialing needs are met. Help create a community-within-a-community for coaches in your county, welcome new members, plan a Local Social, create a hyper-local referral network, or highlight your neighbor in our newsletter: this position is flexible and encourages creativity! Email us at [email protected] to express your interest.

“Volunteering on the Membership Committee is a great way to get involved, meet other coaches in the area, and serve the ICF Maryland chapter community in a positive way. As a newer coach, it has increased my confidence in networking with colleagues. Sharing the precious resource of time to support the chapter is a small way to “pay it forward” and support the many wonderful opportunities the chapter brings to us. ICF Maryland is a very active and welcoming chapter, and a supportive network.”
