ICF Maryland is a local charter chapter of the International Coaching Federation — one of more than 140 worldwide. We run almost completely on the energy and generosity of volunteers, and serve nearly 700 members across our communities. Our clear mission, values, and policies provide a strong and consistent backbone to support our membership body and the framework of resources we provide.

Connection
Coaching can be a solitary endeavor, so we prioritize connection.
The state of Maryland features great diversity in landscape, population demographics, industries, and culture, so we act with intention to foster connection in all of our activities. We know we’re better together!
ICF Maryland members connect with fellow coaches through Local Socials, hosted across the state on a regular basis. Members also connect with one another when they volunteer - as board members, committee members, pro bono coaches, peer coaches, or chapter ambassadors. Former Board members actively keep in touch and collaborate through our Board Alumni Community.
Additionally, we foster connection with partner and associate business and educational institutions, to help our members discover the next right step in their coaching education and/or career, and to advance the profession of coaching in Maryland.

We know ICF Maryland members are hungry to continue growing our tradecraft, businesses, and networks, so we invest in your growth through all of our offerings.
ICF Maryland comprises a powerhouse of coaches who hold expertise in their fields and have the willingness to share their tools and experiences with fellow coaches. These, and exceptional coaches from around the world, present Professional Development sessions, which are discounted with your membership and provide Continued Coaching Education Units necessary for ICF credentialing. We keep our members informed about other learning opportunities, too, by highlighting exceptional events from ICF Professional Coaches and ICF chapters around the world.

Impact
ICF Maryland strives to create deep impact for individuals and our communities at large.
Coaching is a passion profession; a calling chosen by individuals who desire to positively impact the lives of others. ICF Maryland facilitates and expands impact — by our members, and for our members.
We invite members to create a powerful ripple effect by serving as pro bono coaches, providing coaching at no charge to leaders serving our communities at local non-profit organizations. We match coaches and coaches-in-training with individuals serving our community who would benefit from coaching but can’t otherwise afford it.
The connection, growth, and impact our chapter creates only happens through the efforts of volunteers. Policies & By-Laws
CCEU POLICY: ICF Maryland Chapter requires real-time participation in Professional Development and/or other CCEU-awarding events to earn Continuing Coaching Education Units.
CHAPTER BY-LAWS: Take a deep dive into ICF Maryland policies and standards by reading our chapter by-laws.
PHOTO POLICY: ICF Maryland Chapter takes pictures of events in public locations to record our activities and may share on our website. Photos are usually group shots taken during the course of the event and your image may be recorded and used on the www.icf-md.com website.
REFUND POLICY: ICF Maryland Chapter requires participants to submit a cancellation notice 48-hour prior to an event.
