WHAT IS COACHING?
The International Coaching Federation, the global organization for coaches and coaching, defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.
ICF-credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. ICF provides the path for coaches to meet the gold standard of coaching.
The ICF Maryland Charter Chapter is one of 140+ local chapters around the world that extends the each of the International Coaching Federation’s advocacy and resources, and provides opportunities to experience in-person connection, conduct local networking, and to practice and serve — in community with their neighbors. And at ICF Maryland, we work hard to infuse camaraderie, in-person connection, and fun!
