Resilience has been a popular buzz word for years and a heavily researched topic. In the midst of a global pandemic, resilience is more relevant than ever as we continue to face unprecedented levels of uncertainty and anxiety. In this session, we will explore a model of leadership that is based on a systems perspective, one that allows leaders (and the coaches who work with them) to cultivate a more thoughtful, less reactive workplace and to sustain their leadership efforts over time. Join us for a lively, interactive conversation to discuss:

  • The four principles ways we deal with anxiety and how to make sure we are managing our own anxiety in resourceful ways.

  • How uncertainty impacts the brain and what leaders can do to create more certainty for their teams.

  • The contagious nature of a leader’s (and a coach’s) presence.

  • What it means to be a “Step-Down Transformer” for our families, teams, and organizations.

  • The three imperatives of a Resilient Leader: Stay Calm, Stay Connected and Stay the Course.

  • What Over/Under-functioning is and how you can coach your clients (and yourself) to avoid this common reactive pattern.
